Yoshiko
also practices Sei Tai (Qi Body Work for Peace and Balance).
She was trained by Tozan Ueda, one of the major masters who
was trained directly by the founder of the Sei Tai Association,
Haruchika Noguchi. Her traditional Japanese acupuncture style
is painless and very gentle.
She has used acupuncture, moxibustion and Sei Tai to treat
various conditions including acute and chronic pain such as
low back, shoulder joint, and neck pain; gynecological problems,
such as painful menstruation, irregular menstruation, syndromes
after labor, hormonal imbalance; digestive problems, such
as indigestion, ulcers, hemorrhoid; psychological problems,
such as insomnia, anxiety and depression; and sciatica, arthritis,
headaches, and other types of chronic pain.
Her special interest is Shou Ni Shin - Japanese Acupuncture
for Children (also known as the Light Meridian Touch Therapy),
which provides a very light painless touch on the surface
of the skin by different types of very fine soft needles and
rollers. Shou Ni Shin can treat neurosis, night cry, insomnia,
cold, nasal catarrh, poor digestion, diarrhea, constipation,
malnutrition, weak constitution, enuresis, asthma, and other
ailments in infants and children.
